Andy Gibson
Clinical Studies Officer - Highland
Andy is responsible for a number of research studies at the Clinical Research Facility in NHS Highlands. He also has a small amount of time to devote to the ENRICH Scotland network. Prior to his move here he managed a Generic Research Team for the NIHR in Yorkshire and Humber. Whilst working for the National Institute for Health and Care Research in Yorkshire and Humber he was heavily involved in setting up ENRICH and carrying out research activity in care homes.
He is particularly interested in assisting in the design of new research projects to maximise the ease of recruiting participants and ensuring the effective capturing of the right data. He is a GCP facilitator having performed the role in both England and Scotland. He is an author on several papers with a diverse subject range including peri-operative medicine and digital physiotherapy.
He has a BA in education with Qualified Teacher Status, a BSc in Adult Nursing Leadership pathway and an MSc in Health Research.
