Confident Conversations

In conjunction with Alzheimer Scotland, Confident Conversations training sessions are run by the Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network's staff.

It is our belief that the practitioner with the best relationship with the person living with a neuroprogressive disease and their family is best placed to have a conversation about research participation. This training is help practitioners start the conversation and to build up knowledge and confidence to talk about research participation at the appropriate time.

The training takes a full day or can be split into smaller sessions. It is a very practical course with lots of interactive sessions. At the end of the session, you will leave with a toolkit and a list of local contacts for future questions.

The course was originally designed to talk about dementia research, but now it has been expanded for practitioners of other neuroprogressive disease areas such as Parkinson's, Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

If you are interested in hearing more about the course or booking a session, please contact tay.ndntayside@nhs.scot or call 01382 423086.
